Intake SOP
Document triggers, questions, routing rules, human boundaries, completion evidence, and review ownership.
1 published Field Note
Write an intake standard operating procedure that staff and systems can follow without hiding exceptions.
An intake SOP should describe what starts the process, which questions matter, how answers change the route, when a person must step in, what the customer is told, where the record is saved, and how the team knows the handoff is complete. It should be usable during real work, not only during training.
Intake quality changes by person and shift because the business has a form or script, but not a complete operating procedure for decisions, exceptions, records, and handoff.
Three signals worth inspecting
- 01Staff ask different qualifying questions
- 02Exception handling is undocumented
- 03Completion has no observable evidence
Intake Systems
These articles turn intake knowledge into practical procedures that connect customer communication, qualification, records, exceptions, and prepared handoff.
