Best law firm marketing, SEO & intake“Four in ten law firms answer the phone.” Be one of them.
The best law firm marketing pays only when the call, the form and the follow-up end in a signed retainer. We build the website, local search, intake and answering that get you there.
Start small: the AI voice agent plan from $449 a month, Local Ranking Accelerator from $99 a month, or a website we design and build free, then $99 a month for hosting and care.Your first consultation is free. We will tell you what would help most.
Every inquiry answered and screened.
Exhibit AOne inquiry, Tuesday, 9:47 PM
If it waits for Monday
- A web form arrives: “My business partner is leaving and taking clients. Who can help this week?”
- The auto-reply says “We received your message.” It offers no next step.
- She has called two other firms. One of them answered.
She signs with the firm that answered.
With your intake line
- The same form. A text goes out at once: “Thanks for writing. What is the best time to talk tomorrow?”
- Screening questions answered by text: the kind of matter, the deadline, the best time. No legal advice.
- Consultation booked for Wed, 9:30 AM. The intake link is sent.
The consultation is booked.
What a law firm needs
Six things that bring in the right clients. Pick what you need.

Book a free consultationQuestion presented
Why does a firm that pays to be found sign fewer clients than it earns?
- Short answer
- The inquiry dies after the click. The phone rings out and the form waits for Monday. She hires whoever answered.
- Our answer
- We build the path: a website that books, local search, an intake that asks the right first question and an answer in seconds. You pick the pieces you need, and we start with one.
- Not our job
- Ad spend, ranking promises and legal advice. Competitive metro SEO and ad management belong with a specialist. We make what they send you worth more.
Statement of facts
Four in ten firms answered the phone. Nearly half never did.
In 2024, a research firm working for Clio contacted 500 US law firms as prospective clients, with questions about fees, procedure and booking a consultation. Four in ten answered the call. A third answered the email.
- 48%could not be reached by phone: no answer and no callback
- Over 3xlikelier to be recommended after a phone conversation than the average across all channels
- Nearly 8xlower recommendation rate when the follow-up was only a voicemail

Every unanswered inquiry is a click somebody already paid for. Advertisers bid about these amounts, per click, on the searches your clients type.

Argument: be found
Be found by the person searching tonight.
She types “divorce lawyer near me” or “immigration lawyer”, looks at three firms and calls one. What she sees before she calls decides which.
A law office
Law firm · Closed now
No hours listed, no languages, a form with no calendar.
Your firm
Family law · Open until 9 PM
Se habla español · Book a consult · Photos of your real office
Another firm
Attorney · Opens 9 AM
A phone number, a hold message and a callback form.
What the listing needs
- Your practice area as the category, not only “law firm”
- Hours, including the evening you really answer
- The languages your team speaks
- A consult link that opens a calendar
- Photos of the real office and the real lawyers
- The same name, address and phone everywhere
Local Ranking Accelerator keeps your profile and listings right every month, $99 a month, or $82.50 billed yearly.
Start with the matters your firm wants to accept.
Give each main practice area a useful page: the matters you handle, the jurisdictions you serve, who will advise the client and how the first conversation works. A person looking for estate planning needs different answers from someone calling about a separation.
TQP is a strong fit for a small firm that wants this built and looked after. Start with the website or managed local listings, then scope intake and booking around your team. Your real offices and service areas guide the copy; extra city pages and an ongoing content campaign are not automatic inclusions.
The website she reads, kept and cut
Keep
- One page for each kind of matter you want, in the words clients use
- Each lawyer’s bar admissions, years in practice and languages
- How a consultation works, what it costs and what to bring
- Your fee basis in plain words, where your rules allow it
- A calendar on every page, and a phone number that is answered
Cut
- “Best lawyer” claims and comparisons you cannot back up
- “Specialist” unless a named, approved body certified you
- Case results with no note that every matter is different
- A contact form that ends at “we will get back to you”
- Stock gavels, scales and a sentence about “zealous advocacy”
Why: Rule 7.1, comments 2 and 3 and Rule 7.2(c).
One practice page, from first question to firm review.
Picture the estate-planning page. The visitor sees what your firm prepares, who the service suits, the lawyer responsible and your approved explanation of fees and the first meeting. The next action is clearly labelled: request a consultation, or choose a time if your firm permits direct booking.
- Public website
- Practice information, attorney profiles, service jurisdictions and a short enquiry. Your firm approves the wording and what may be collected.
- Existing legal software
- Keep the intake form or calendar you already trust. A link to Clio Grow is a different scope from creating or updating a matter in Clio.
- Before a new client is accepted
- The team receives the enquiry, follows its conflict-review procedure and confirms the permitted next step. The website receipt must not imply representation.
Use this checklist before replacing your firm's website
Test a new enquiry, an existing-client message and a matter outside your practice. Check who receives each one. Preserve useful old page addresses or map their replacements; confirm domain access, business email and the firm's approval of the final copy before launch.
The referral names a lawyer. Does the website help someone reach them?
A visitor looking up a referred lawyer should find more than a list of qualifications. TQP writes and builds attorney profiles around the work each lawyer wants to receive, with a clear route into your firm's intake process.
- Who and what
- A real photograph, name, role, admissions and languages your firm confirms. Explain the matters this lawyer handles and link to the relevant practice pages. Use their own account of how they work, with education and publications supporting the story.
- Where and how
- Show the actual office or remote consultation arrangements and service jurisdictions. Explain who handles the first conversation, whether a fee applies and whether the visitor requests a time or books one. A requested lawyer is a preference until your firm confirms who can help.
Test the profile on a phone: a visitor asking for that lawyer, someone unsure which lawyer they need, and an existing client seeking an update should each reach the right person. Your firm approves the copy and tells us when a lawyer's role, availability or contact route changes.
Bring one lawyer's bio and the enquiries you want it to attract. We will plan the profile, practice-page links and next step. Profiles use the agreed website page allowance; a larger directory or connected intake is scoped separately.
The Essential Website includes up to 10 pages, free design and build, then $99 USD a month for hosting and care. Connected intake, booking and custom integrations are separately scoped. Bring one practice area and your current intake path; we will show what TQP would build around them.
Argument: be answered
Be answered, and asked the right first question.
A message slip says “call back re: legal matter.” An intake sheet starts with the one question that practice area needs first. It is different for every kind of caller.
| Practice area | When it rings | The first question | Read more |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal injury | Nights and weekends, often from the ER | “Are you safe, and are you getting care?” | Injury firms |
| Family law | Sunday night, after the fight | “Is it safe to call you back at this number?” | Family law firms |
| Immigration | Any hour, any time zone, a date coming | “What date is on the letter?” | Immigration firms |
| Estate and elder law | Daytime, an adult child asking about a parent | “Who is the client, and who else decides?” | Elder law firms |
| Criminal defense | The hour after an arrest | “Is the person in custody, and where?” | Same system |
| Business and employment | Weekdays, with a letter in hand | “Who is the other side, and by when must you reply?” | Same system |
On every sheet the other side’s name comes next, before the story. Rule 1.18 protects what a prospective client tells you even when you never take the matter.
Who answers while you are in court
Choose the work you need covered, then compare the quotes. Taking a message, gathering intake and booking a cleared consultation are different jobs. Use these questions to find out exactly what your team will receive.
| The work to cover | Your front desk | A live answering service | Our AI voice agent plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| The first enquiry | Your team follows the firm's intake procedure and records the enquiry. | Ask which questions the receptionist follows and where the completed intake goes. | We configure your approved questions, callback details and receiving record. Your team gets the context for its next step. |
| Conflict review before a consultation | The people your firm authorizes perform the review and decide what can proceed. | Ask whether the script holds booking until your firm clears the next step. | The AI collects only the pre-review details you approve. A review-first enquiry stays with your intake team until the firm clears it. |
| Where the consultation is booked | Staff uses the calendars and legal software your firm permits. | Ask to see the destination calendar. A booking link, an appointment and a new matter are different things. | When your rules permit, it books on the included calendar or sends your booking link. A direct connection to legal software is separately checked and scoped. |
| What the receiving person opens | The intake sheet and staff notes in the system you use. | Ask for a sample of the actual notification, not just a feature list. | A text summary and an email with the summary and transcript. Call recording is included; your firm approves recipients and access before launch. |
| Language coverage | Plan coverage around the languages your team can support. | Confirm the languages, hours and any separate charges in the quote. | English, Spanish or French under the agreed setup. We test your intake wording before launch; other language needs require a scope check. |
| Setup and ongoing cost | Budget for staffing, training, supervision and the hours you need covered. | Compare included calls or minutes, setup, extra usage, booking and software connections in writing. | $449 a month, with free standard setup (normally $1,495) for one main call job. Included call minutes follow the plan; custom connections are quoted separately. |
TQP is for the firm that wants this built and managed for it. We set up the questions, permitted booking path and team notifications, then test them with you. Bring your intake sheet and the software you want to keep. See how a review-first enquiry reaches your team.

The intake team's working sheet
From a new enquiry to a consultation your firm has cleared.
A prospective client calls about a business dispute. Your firm wants a conflict review before offering a consultation. Follow the enquiry through the three records below.
Illustrative intake records, not a client matter or a recording. Your firm approves the fields, recipients and wording.
1. The enquiry your intake person receives
- Request
- New enquiry · Business dispute · Callback requested this week
- Collect first
- Location, relevant names, caller-stated dates and a safe callback method, limited to what your firm permits before conflict review.
- Status & owner
- Awaiting firm review · The intake person your firm assigned
- Calendar
- No appointment booked. No booking link offered under this rule.
2. The message and call record
- To your team
- A text summary and an email with the summary and transcript go to the approved recipients. Call recording is included; access and storage are agreed before launch.
- Caller told
- Your enquiry is with the intake team for review. They will contact you about the next step. No consultation or representation has been confirmed.
- Still unresolved
- The firm has not cleared conflicts, accepted the matter or assessed a deadline. A date supplied by the caller stays a reported date.
3. After your firm clears the next step
- Firm decision
- Your team follows its conflict-review procedure and decides whether a consultation may be offered.
- If a link is sent
- Invitation sent. The consultation is still unbooked until a time is selected and the appointment is confirmed.
- If a time is booked
- The included calendar holds the appointment; the confirmation shows its date, time zone and change instructions. A consultation still does not mean the firm accepted the matter.
- Your legal software
- Keep Clio or your existing case-management system. A link to its form or calendar does not create a matter there. Writing into that system is a separately checked connection.
TQP configures this path around your rules. Bring one practice area's intake rules to a personalized demo. Ask us to trace a review-first enquiry and a permitted booking through the receiving record, notification and calendar, so you can see what your team would actually use.
What the line never says
- “You have a case.” Only a lawyer says that.
- Any advice, or what to do about the letter.
- A fee or a result you did not approve in writing.
- That the firm is the best, or the cheapest.
- Anything to a caller who has not contacted you first.
Argument: the rules
Build it to the rules your bar already wrote.
You answer for what your marketing says and for what a vendor does in your name. These are the ABA Model Rules we build to. Your state may add more, and in Canada your law society sets its own.
| Rule | In plain words | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Rule 7.1, communications | A true statement can still mislead. Results shown without context, or an unsubstantiated comparison with other firms, can break it. | No promised outcomes and no “best lawyer”. Results appear only with the qualifier you approve. |
| Rule 7.2(b), recommendations | You may pay for ads, websites and marketing staff. You may not pay someone to recommend you, and a paid lead generator must not appear to. | We are your vendor. We never recommend you to anyone and never sell your name as a lead. |
| Rule 5.4(a), fee sharing | A lawyer or law firm shall not share legal fees with a nonlawyer. | One flat monthly price. Never a share of your fees, never a fee for each signed case. |
| Rule 7.2(c), specialists | No “certified specialist” unless an approved body certified you and the communication names it. | We write “practice focused on” unless you give us the certification and the body’s name. |
| Rule 7.2(d), who is responsible | Every communication includes the name and contact information of a lawyer or firm responsible for it. | Your firm’s name and a way to reach it sit on every page and every message. |
| Rules 5.3, 1.6, 1.18 and 7.3 | You supervise nonlawyer help. What a caller tells you stays confidential, even if you never take the matter. No live solicitation. | You approve the script and hear calls each month. Before launch we write down where recordings live and who may open them. It answers people who contacted you and never rings anyone who did not. |
| ABA Formal Opinion 512, AI | Competence, confidentiality, communication and fees all apply to generative AI tools. | We put in writing what the AI does, what it never does and how it was tested, before a caller reaches it. |
Read at the ABA, September 2026: Rule 7.2 comments 2, 3 and 5 on marketing vendors and lead generators, Rule 1.6 and Rule 7.3. We are a vendor, not a law firm, and compliance stays with you.

Signature System
The Signature System for law firms
Your website, Google listings, call answering, consultation booking and reviews, put together for your firm and looked after by our team. Not sure what you need? We scope the right mix with you on a free call and tell you exactly what it costs.
Questions from law firms.
The plain answers we give on the first call. If yours is not here, ask it.
How much does it cost to get started?
Your first consultation is free. After that you can start small: the AI voice agent plan from $449 a month with free setup (normally $1,495) and no contract, Local Ranking Accelerator from $99 a month, or an Essential Website we design and build free, then $99 a month for hosting and care. Larger projects are scoped with you on the call, and we tell you the cost before you commit. Prices are in US dollars.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. You tell us how clients reach you today, we tell you what would help most and what it costs, and there is no obligation. You talk to the people who build the work, led by our founder.
What does a law firm need?
Most firms need six things: every inquiry answered and screened, a website that gets the call, a page for the practice areas you want more of, a strong Google profile, more five-star reviews where your bar allows and one place for every inquiry. Most start with one or two. We suggest what fits on the free consultation.
Is this law firm SEO? Will it put me at the top of Google?
Nobody can promise a ranking, and we do not. Local Ranking Accelerator sets up and keeps your Google profile and listings in order so people nearby can find you. The rest of the work is answering and booking the calls that arrive.
Do you run our ads?
No. We make sure the inquiries you already pay for get answered and booked. Ad spend stays with you.
Does the AI give legal advice or say we have a case?
Never. It does not say whether someone has a case, what it is worth or how long they have to file. It says an attorney will decide and call them. The line can collect names for a conflict check, but your firm runs that check and decides whether to accept the matter. Booking a consultation does not accept a client.
Is this allowed under our ethics rules?
Bars treat it like any assistant you supervise: you stay responsible for what it says and for protecting what callers tell it. We set it up around the rules on prospective clients, confidentiality, supervision and advertising, and your state's rules or your provincial law society's code have the last word.
Will callers know it is an AI?
Yes. The greeting says so in wording your attorneys approve. A caller can ask for a person at any time.
Does it work with our case management or intake software?
We can look at it with you. Connecting to the software you already use depends on the tool, so we scope it on the consultation and tell you what is possible before you pay for anything.
Do you take a percentage of fees or charge for each lead?
No. Nothing of value is paid for referrals, and we never take a share of fees. Our prices are the ones on this page, in US dollars.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. If your legal platform already gives you clear practice pages, a usable mobile site and the consultation path you need, keep it. Hire an agency when writing, design, upkeep or the enquiry handoff needs work your team cannot cover. If the site needs replacing, an Essential Website is the simplest start: we design and build it free, then $99 a month for hosting and care. The Essential Website already includes up to 10 pages, which can include your main services. Booking, connected intake, larger custom builds and extra pages are scoped separately.
Is there a contract?
The AI voice agents have no contract, so you can cancel anytime. The Essential Website and Local Ranking Accelerator are month to month. Larger projects are agreed in writing before work begins.
